The aim of Central Health Care is to deliver health care and support to the residents of Perth & Kinross who are Homeless or at risk of homelessness, those who are vulnerable, those living in temporary accommodation or sleeping rough. Women and children fleeing domestic violence and prisoners facing homelessness on discharge from prison and in general support those who have no registered doctor and register them with a practice which is based in Drumhar(mauve practice).
We aim to work with patients and offer a nurse led service with ailments ranging from first aid, treatments for minor ailments or illness, those who require dressings changed, those who require to be registered with a doctor and are a front line service that operate on a drop in basis Mon - Frid. We can signpost to other services( TSMS, TAPS, BBV) or arrange a doctors appointment. We offer podiatry, dental and an optician service within Drumhar and information/advice and support regarding health from within our area based at Drumhar health centre. We also offer mental health support, keep well checks and health coaching along with supporting those who are vulnerable in the community. We visit most of the hostels in Perth City i.e. Skinnergate, Greyfriars, Anchor House, Cath House, Cath Day Centre, Rio House and wherever else vulnerable people/patients are.
